Beauty in Small Deeds Project (BiSD)

Calling on team players from all sectors passionate about improving health in deprived communities.

 

The Beauty in Small Deeds project is an annual project of DoctorsAct. The week long project, in conjunction with the selected communities, seeks to address the health problems of rural individuals and establish innovative, sustainable community projects with the aim of improving the quality of life in these communities.

 

During the week long project, you will be part of an interdisciplinary team young team that will visit 5 selected rural communities to provide standard medical care whilst measuring our outcomes.

• A chance to learn and use diagnostic tools and rapid diagnostic tests in the focused areas.

• Opportunities to ground field research work skills including screening, data collection and management.

• An fun trip to the Keta-Angaw Lagoon Basin, Ghana.

• Opportunity to assist the people affected by Cyclone Idai in Chimanimani, Zimbabwe.
