The symposium will take advantage of modern educational concepts to provide clinically relevant material through an interprofessional and multidisciplinary approach to the perioperative management of patients undergoing mechanical circulatory support (MCS). In addition, a complementary advanced critical care echocardiography (CCE) workshop will be offered. The highly interactive approach puts the learner in the position of the clinician needing to make both simple and more complex decisions commonly faced when providing MCS and utilizing CCE.
